A Cup of Love by Jenny Marples

Instructions

Step 1: Cut a 4 ¾ inch square of Black Cardstock and stamp the Vintage Mesh Background onto it with Picket Fence Distress Ink. I distressed the edges of the card with a distressing tool when the ink was dry.

Step 2: Use the Tea Time Bigz Die to cut a teacup and saucer from Black Cardstock. Cut the small tag from white card. Pop out the extra piece from inside the handle and ensure the slit in the teacup is released.

Step 3: Cover the teacup and saucer in embossing ink, shake over Forget Me Not Embossing Powder and heat set it. Use the Splatter Background Stamp with Picket Fence Distress Paint to add splatters.

Step 4: Stamp the Hydrangea image onto White Perfect Cardstock several times with Jet Black Archival Ink. I ended up requiring two complete flowers, two extra sets of leaves and three extra flower heads.

Step 5: Use the Mini Blending Tool to blend Prickly Pear Archival Ink around the edges of the leaves and Peat Moss into their centers with the matching stencil. Blend Tea Rose Archival Ink across the flower heads and highlight some flowers with Poppy and Tiger Lily Archival Inks using a Details Blending Tool.

Step 6: Cut out two complete flowers and blend a little more matching Archival Ink onto the white edges. Cut into the remaining flower heads and leaves to create additional separate layers, inking the edges of these too.

Step 7: Turn each of the flower pieces over and place onto a cushioned surface or embossing mat. Run an embossing tool or similar around the edges of each piece then into the centres to shape them.

Step 8: Glue the teacup and saucer onto the stamped background leaving the opening and centre of the cup. Add Foam Adhesive Tape to the flowers and leaves then arrange in the teacup, layering over the extra pieces.

Step 9: Once the flowers and leaves are all arranged and stuck in place add tiny dots of Fern Green Enamel Accents to the centers of each visible bloom. Leave these dots to air dry until firm to the touch.

Step 10: Stamp the word love onto the tag with Jet Black Archival Ink using one of the sentiments from The Beauty of Art stamp set. Blend Tea Rose Archival Ink around the edges and add a piece of string.

Step 11: Press Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink onto a craft mat and spritz with water. Blot a 5 ½ inch square piece of Watercolor Card into the ink and drying, repeating until the card is all but covered.

To finish add the tag to the cup before layering the center panel onto the Distress Oxide colored square of card. Then layer onto a coordinating piece of colored card before finally adding to a 6-inch square white card blank.
