Using your gel plate can be a fun way to create your own unique papers with your colors and style. In this tutorial we will be using the gel plate to make some inspiring collage papers to tear up and use on any journal page or project. Follow and play along!
Step 1: Spread some Turquoise Acrylic Paint onto the Gel Plate with a Medium Brayer. Pick up the print with some Plain Collage Paper.
Step 2: Spread some Sedona acrylic paint onto the Gel Plate and place the Mosaic Circle stencil onto the surface. Roll your brayer over the stencil and remove. Pick up the print with your Turquoise Collage Paper print.
Step 3: Tear your collage print and Collage Paper botanicals so that you have some bits to begin collaging onto your Kraft journal pages.
Step 4: Begin gluing your pages randomly onto your pages with a glue stick.
Step 5: Cut a page out of the journal and trim it to about 2.5” wide. Add some bits and a Botanical Chipboard Shape onto the rectangle with Ultra Thick Gel Medium. Leave about a ½” space at the bottom to fold. This will become a flap.
Step 6: Staple the flap to the left hand page. Add some text with a White Opaque Pen. Stamp your phrase from the I Am stamp set onto white cardstock with Archival Jet Black ink. Cut out. Finish gluing your components onto the right-hand page.
Step 7: When you are done you will have a secret flap to add a surprise image or some journaling on your spread.
