Hi there crafty friends! It’s Cheiron Brandon here and I am back with a new project to share with you playing with the latest set of Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and the new Sanding Disks that fit on the end of your standard blending tools. Today I will create a card with a fun crayon blending technique and we will combine it with some sanded colored Kraft stock to create a card with a vintage floral feel.Â
Â
Â
Step 1: Gather your supplies, some Distress Heavystock tags, Distress Crayons from the newest set that includes Uncharted Mariner, Villainous Purple, Saltwater Taffy combined with Mowed Lawn. You will also need a stencil, Distress Texture Paste and Distress Collage Medium and a sanding disk.  Â
Â
Step 2: Apply Distress Texture Paste through your stencil using a palette knife and let dry completely. Â
 Â
Â
Step 3: Apply a thin layer of Distress Collage Medium using a brush and let dry completely.Â
Â
Step 4: Start applying your Distress Crayon by adding a bit to the project and blending with a slightly damp finger. I spray some water from a Distress Sprayer and dab my finger into it. Â
Â
Step 5: Keep adding colors until your panel is filled.  Â
Â
Step 6: Ink the edges of your panel using Black Soot Distress Ink and a foam blending tool. Â
  Â
Step 7: Stamp a sentiment from the Noteworthy stamp set onto a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock using Villainous Purple Distress Oxide. Adhere to tag. Â
Â
Step 8: Cut a piece of Kraft Stock to 3 1/2 x 6 1/2. Use the sanding disk to sand the edges and reveal the Kraft Stock underneath, adhere to a card base. Â
Â
Â
Â
Step 9: Adhere tag to the notecard. Â
I hope you enjoyed playing with these new colors of Distress Crayons…so fun how they work together!
