Instructions
Step 1: Cut a piece of Watercolor Cardstock to 4.25×5.5 (or A6 size). You will be using the smooth side of the paper. Rub the Cool Graphite Dye Ink Pad over the back side (side with no wording) of the Quilted Texture Fade, and quickly place the Watercolor Cardstock, smooth side up, into the Texture Fade, so that the inked area will show on it. Run this through a die/embossing machine. Remove the cardstock from the Texture Fade, and clean it with a damp towel. You should see the stitched pattern on the cardstock.
Step 2: Tap the Perfect Pearl Perfect Pearls Powder (PPP) jar one time on the Craft Sheet, so that when you open it the powder is settled and doesn’t plume out. Rub Perfect Medium over the quilted surface on the card, and then pick up some of the powder with the smaller brush and add it to several areas on the card. Use the larger brush and tamp the powder down over the whole card. Brush off the excess, and clean the brushes with a soft cloth.
Step 3: Take a sheet of Kraft Cardstock, and mist it very well with Distress Refresher (You can also use Ink Refresher.). Let it sit for about 30 seconds, and then start crumbling up the paper in your hand to create wrinkles. Mist more Refresher as you go. Open the paper up. Cut about a 3×6 inch piece off and set that aside for a bit.
Step 4: Take the larger piece of Kraft, and begin applying Pink Bubblegum, then Merriment Red, and then Forever Red PPP onto the cardstock using the smaller brush, randomly over the Kraft. Use the larger brush and pounce the powder over the paper. Brush off excess, and clean the brush and Craft Sheet.
Repeat the same technique steps from the larger piece, but using the smaller piece of Kraft and the Forever Green and Festival Green. Dry both pieces with the Heat Tool.
Step 5: Die cut the red PPP sheet with the Tattered Poinsettia Die. Cut several flowers to have on hand. Die cut the green PPP sheet with the Ivy portion of the Mixed Media Christmas Thinlit. Take some of the green PPP scraps and die cut a few petals of the poinsettia to use as leaves. Set these aside.
Step 6: Take the three Black Surfaces Tags and add Adhesive Sheet to the back of them. Coat them with Black Pearl Liquid Pearls using a Palette Knife on the front side, as smooth as you can. Let these dry, and clean the Palette Knife. Die cut these with the Lattice Frameworks Bigz Die, as well pieces of Kraft and Watercolor Cardstock with Adhesive Sheet on the backs (Both 2.5×5.5). Set all these aside.
Step 7: Take a small piece of Kraft Cardstock (2×3), add Adhesive Sheet to the back, trimmed to size, and coat it with Garnet Liquid Pearls with a Palette Knife on the front. Tap over it once coated with the Palette Knife to create texture on it. It will dry like this. Clean the Palette Knife, and once the piece is dry, die cut it with the Noel word from the Vintage Tidings Thinlits. Set aside.
Step 8: Add an Adhesive Sheet to the back of the Quilted Watercolor piece, and mount this onto red cardstock. Add more Adhesive Sheet onto the back of the red to be ready for later. Take the Onyx Pearl Lattice pieces, and arrange them in a triangular shape along the left side of the card, cut off extra pieces. Peel off the backing and adhere them to the card so that they look like one solid piece. Add diamond pieces of the Onyx Pearl, Kraft, and Watercolor into some of the openings of the lattice, and peel off the backing to stick down. You will have lots of pieces left over for more cards or future projects, so save them. Peel off the backing of the Noel and stick it down to the upper right portion of the card.
Step 9: Ink over the wrinkles of the poinsettias directly from the pad of the Classic Cherry Dye Ink. Using an Ink Blending Tool to ink the edges of all the petals. Ink the edges of the ivy and leaves with Electric Lime and an Ink Blending Tool. Punch three small holes in the middle of the smallest flower with the hole punch. Affix three Tiny Fasteners in the holes. Layer the poinsettia pieces biggest to smallest and use Black Foam Tape between them to give the flower depth.
