Hi there! It’s Cheiron here and today I am going to share a fun card that I made using Dina’s Friends to the End set, Scribble Sticks and Dina Wakley Media Washi Tape.
Step 1: To create this card, cut a 5 ½ x 6 ½ card from Kraft cardstock. Then take the washi tape and rip it to card size, applying each piece right up to the next.
Step 2: Cover the entire background of the card with washi tape.
Step 3: Stamp the image of the women onto a piece of Dina Wakley Watercolor Paper.
Step 4: Color in the image with Scribble Sticks and go over them with a wet paintbrush. I used stamps from sets 1 and 2.
Step 5: Stamp the heart from the set using Carnation Red and Vibrant Fuchsia inks. I inked the stamp with the Vibrant Fuchsia then inked over the edges of the stamp with the Carnation Red before stamping to get the two-tone effect. Stamp the sentiment and ink the edges. I used a night reinker in a DIY Archival Pad.
Step 6: Using a dry brush, paint a thin layer of white paint over your washi tape background to tone it down a little bit. Dry it with a Heat Tool.
Step 7: Mat your colored image onto a piece of black cardstock. Place it over the card and outline around the area with a Scribble Stick. Remove the piece and draw a rectangle frame using your Scribble Sticks in various colors. Take a wet paintbrush and blend.
Step 8: Take the wet paintbrush and also dip the back end of a night scribble in water. Use the paint brush to flick color off of the stick onto your card. You will get little splatters, let dry.
Step 9: Add the sentiment to the stamped panel and adhere the panel to the front of the card with foam tape.
