Instructions
Step 1: Create two background pattern papers by shading each piece with Piggyback Dye Ink Pad and a Mini Ink Blending Tool with Foam. On one, stencil Prom Queen Ink over Bubble Wrap Stencil. Stamp Charming on the other with Prom Queen. Set these aside for later use.
Step 2: Create a background in the Large Flip it Dylusions Journal utilizing Rose Quartz, Peony Blush and Funky Fuchsia Dylusions Paints.
Step 3: Using a baby wipe quickly rub Rose Quartz paint on page. Fold over the wipe that does not have paint on it and repeat with Peony Blush and Funky Fuchsia.
Step 4: Stamp Simon Hurley’s Background Stamp Charming with Prom Queen Ink pad on page in 3 random spots.
Step 5: Using Simon Hurley Bubble Wrap Stencil, mist Dina Wakley White Gloss Spray on page in three random spots. Repeat with Dylusions Shimmer Spray in Bubblegum Pink. Check out our channel to see how to create backgrounds in your art journal for even more ideas.
Step 6: Stamp several flowers from Simon Hurley’s Doodle Florals using Crown Me Ink as the outline of the image and Guppy, Piggyback and Prom Queen to shade them in.
Use Tropical Tango to stamp the leaves and Later Gator to shade them in. Cut them out.
Step 7: Cut tags from the two background pattern papers created in step one. Ink the edges with Archival Ink in Black Soot and adhere to page with Dyary Glue Stick.
Step 8: Using the same glue stick, adhere the stamped Doodle Florals in the center of the tags.
Step 9: Randomly stamp the smaller flower across the tags in Crown Me ink.
Step 10: Using Black Soot Archival ink, stamp “You are Such a Blessing” above first tag on the left. Stamp “You Make Me Smile” on bottom right corner of center tag.
Step 11: Finish off the page by adding Mermaid Tail and Palm Leaf Stickles to create centers on the flowers and random dots to guide the eye on the tags.
Step 12: Let it dry over night before closing the journal.
