Hi crafty friends! I’m excited to share with you the card I made using the new Zesty stamp set and Simon Hurley create. Lemon Branch stencil. I love how easy it was to color the lemons using the stencil on today’s card! I really hope you enjoy this tutorial, and that it inspires you to do something fun and creative today.
Step 1: Create an A2 card base out of Stark White Cardstock. Cut the 8½ x 11 cardstock down to 4¼ x 11. Then score at 5½. Cut another piece measuring 4 x 5¼ to be your front panel.
Step 2: On the front panel piece, stamp the lemon branch from the Zesty stamp set using Jet Black Archival Ink and Simon Hurley’s Acrylic Block.
Step 3: On a piece of scrap cardstock, use the Jet Black Archival Ink and Simon Hurley’s Acrylic Block to stamp the lemonade jar image from the Zesty stamp set and the tree stump from the Bestest Friends stamp set.
Step 4: Cut out the lemonade jar image from the Zesty stamp set, and the tree stump from the Bestest Friends stamp set.
Step 5: Go back to the stamped front panel piece where you stamped the lemon branch from the Zesty stamp set. Use the side #1 of the Lemon Branch stencil to color the branch using Simon Hurley’s Dye Ink Pad Grr!
Step 6: After coloring the branch, use side #2 of the Lemon Branch stencil to color the lemons with the detail and Mini Ink Blending Tool using Shooting Star and Sike! dye inks.
Step 7: When done coloring the lemons, use #3 and #4 of the Lemon Branch stencil to color the leaves with the Overzealous and Fake Plant dye inks.
Step 8: Spread some Grr! dye ink on the Ranger Silicone Mat, water, and Ranger Artist Brush #4 to color the tree stump from the Bestest Friends stamp set.
Step 9: To color the lemonade jar image from the Zesty stamp, use the same process and tools except this time use Overzealous, Clear Skies, and Shooting Star to color the juice jar.
Step 10: On the front panel cardstock, use the Scene Maker stencil to add some clouds with the Breakup blue dye ink.
Step 11: Using the Scene Maker stencil, add some grass using the Mint Fresh Lunar paste.
Step 12: Continue to use the Scene Maker stencil to add some birds in the background using the Mini Ink Blending tool and the Grr! dye ink.
Step 13: Use Simon Hurley’s acrylic block to stamp a sentiment from the Zesty stamp set using Jet Black Archival Ink.
Step 14: Use Ranger Glossy Accents on the lemonade jar image and on the leaves of the branch.
Step 15: Add White Ahesive Foam Roll Tape on the tree stump and lemonade jar, glue images on the front panel. Add more foam tape on the back of the front panel to glue to the card base. Pair card with an envelope and is ready to be send to a loved one!
