Hello friends! This is Richele, today I’m sharing some quick n’ easy Mixed Media cards using Distress Oxide Sprays and Distress Archival Inks. I’m in love with the new Distress Oxide Sprays and how versatile they are, you can use them for backgrounds, for coloring with a waterbrush like I’ve done on these cards, spraying through stencils and more.
Step 1: Stamp Media Marks on Distress Watercolor Cardstock with Black Soot Distress Archival Ink using the new Mini Archival Ink Pads.
Step 2: Create different images like flowers or leaves with the Mini Media Marks stamp set.
Step 3: Stamp a message on each card with Black Soot Distress Archival Ink or change it up by using a color.
Step 4: Spray Distress Oxide Spray on Non-Stick Craft Sheet, pick up ink with Waterbrush and paint design as desired. I love the intensity of the inks right out of the bottle for coloring.
Step 5: Stamp some small Media Marks in the background by picking up the excess ink from the Craft Sheet with the stamp and adding marks to the card. Next water down the ink that’s left, pick up with Waterbrush and flick on background. Dry with a Heat It Tool.
Step 6: Use different color combinations as desired for each card.
Step 7: Stamp Media Marks around the edges of the base card with Distress Oxide Ink. Notice how the Oxide Ink show up on Kraft.
Step 8: Sew around the edges of the cards as desired. Adhere layers together with Distress Collage Medium. Finish off the cards by wrapping twine around cards and tying with a bow.
