Archival Ink Encouragement Card by Jess Francisco

Jess Francisco shows you how to make a dramatic blended background and adds light with Liquid Pearls as she creates this endearing encouragement card.

Instructions

 

 

Archival Ink Encouragement Card Step 1

Step 1: Use the Domed Blending Foam to apply ink to a piece of white cardstock measuring 4” x 5.25”. Start with Paradise Teal on the lower third, add Cobalt to the middle third, and Deep Purple to the top third. 

 

 

Archival Ink Encouragement Card Step 2

Step 2: Stamp the mountain silhouette image in Jet Black Archival using an acrylic block. 

 

 

Archival Ink Encouragement Card Step 3

Step 3: Trim the card panel to 4” x 2.75”. 

 

Archival Ink Encouragement Card Step 4

Step 4: Use the Liquid Pearls to fill in the moon section of the silhouette image. Set this aside until it is completely dry. Once dry, mat the card panel on a piece of black cardstock measuring 4.25” x 3”. 

 

 

Archival Ink Encouragement Card Step 5

Step 5: Treat the card panel with anti-static powder and stamp the 'keep shining' sentiment with embossing ink. Pour White Embossing Powder over the stamped image and tap off the excess. Use a Heat Tool to melt the powder. 

 

 

Archival Ink Encouragement Card Step 6

Step 6: Attach the matted panel to a white card base measuring 4.25” x 5.5”. 

 

 

Archival Ink Encouragement Card Finished

You're done! Your card is ready to send.
