I love using circles in my art, and these new coaster stencils are fanning that flame. I thought it might be fun to experiment with them and create some circular pages in my art journal. (Spoiler alert, it is!)
Step 1: Add some White Gesso to a page in the large Kraft Journal.
Step 2: Spray some coordinating Glosses through the Scales Coaster stencil. Here, Malachite and Sapphire were used.
Step 3: Cut around the edges of the stencil, making a rounded page. Add a transparency from the Typography 2 transparency set with a stapler or Tiny Attacher, and cut it to fit the shape of the page.
Step 4: Make a focal point tag. Put a couple different Gloss colors onto a craft sheet. These colors should contrast with the original colors on your journal page (here, Raspberry and Mustard were used). Smush a tag into the Glosses to spread the color on the tag. Make as many as you want to use in future projects.
Step 5: Add some circles to the tags with a lid from a jar and a dark gloss color. Here, Cocoa was used. With a wet brush, spread some of the gloss onto the tag surrounding the circles.
Step 6: With a white Stabilo All pencil or a gel pen, add some journaling to the tags.
Step 7: Add a stamped image and some words or a phrase to the tags. With a stapler, attach the tag to the journal page.
