Hello Friends! The new colors from the Dylusions Dyamond Dust line are giving off some serious fall vibes and one of my favorite things about this time of year is the colorful foliage. Grab some leaves and follow along to create this fall inspired page!
Step 1: Open to a dot grid page in your Large Ledger Journal. Use masking tape or washi to tape off an inch or so border around your page. The dot pattern will make it easy to apply in straight lines.
Step 2: Mix a bit of Dylusions Diamond Dust in Squeezed orange with a few drops of water and apply to the underside of a leaf generously with a paint brush.
Step 3: Press the painted leaf onto your journal page. You can put a scrap piece of paper on top of the leaf to burnish it with your finger and get a clear imprint.
Step 4: Continue painting and “stamping” the leaf randomly all over the page.
Step 5: Repeat steps 2-4 with Dyamond Dust in Cherry Pie and again with Polished Jade allowing each color to dry completely in between.
Step 6: Remove the tape and paint the border with Dylusions Flip Cap Paint in Black Marble.
Step 7: Using the Large Retro Grid Stencil, trace the leaf shaped pattern around the border with a pencil.
Step 8: With the small #4 brush, color in the traced pattern using Dyamond Dust in Squeezed Orange.
Step 9: Cut your images out of Dylusions Collage Sheet Set #1 and the quote that reads “I’m hosting an anti-social party, no one is invited.” from Bigger Back Chat Black Set #4.
Step 10: Glue your quote and images to the page using a Dylusions Glue Stick.
Step 11: Add some final touches to your page with the Black Marble and White Linen pens. Outline your painted border, focal image, and quote to make them pop off the page. Write “Leaf Me Alone” on the brim of the hat to complete! Happy Fall Everyone!
