Dylusions Love is in the Air Valentine Cards by Milagros Rivera

Milagros Rivera shares a clever way to use leftover Dylusions Christmas Image Sheets to create these charming Valentine's Day Cards.

Instructions

I love when a product transitions from one season to the next and I can take advantage of every piece. I was able to create three Valentine's Day cards with remnants of my Christmas Image Sheets. Yup, I said Christmas in the same sentence as Valentine's. Here I show you how to make the most of your Dylusions treasures!

Dylusions Love is in the Air Valentine Card 1

Card 1, With Love

Dylusions Love is in the Air Valentine Cards Step 1

Step 1: Use your Dylusions The Classics Journal to sneak paper to create an A2 sized card, fold in half. They will be top folded because I’m using a vertical journal.

This is how the inspiration came. I love the Grandkids Silhouette Stencils & Masks for so many reasons, they’re absolutely adorable and they also fit inside the heart stencil!

Step 2: Use the black pages of the journal to cut the silhouettes.

Step 3: With the remnants from my art journaling I had hearts after using the Christmas trees.

Step 4: Use those hearts to fit inside the heart. All the way until I filled it.  Remember the silhouettes will cover your paper seams!

Step 5: I had saved that bloom thinking how sweet it would be for him to bring her flowers!

Step 6: To create the background use Rose Quartz over your chosen stencil.

Step 7: Glue your pieces inside the heart and attach to card base.  I wanted more contrast in the background so I filled it with Cherry pie using a brush

Step 8: And finished it with another remnant, popped the with love hearts found underneath the Merry Christmas page!

Dylusions Love is in the Air Valentine Card 2 Love Birds

Card 2, Love Birds

Step 9: To create this one use the Diamond Mask. Take advantage of your MAKE ART Stay-tion to double up on the stencils. The magnets will keep them in place!

Dylusions Love is in the Air Valentine Cards Step 10

Step 10: Glue the hand cut pieces to your card.

Step 11: Again I wanted more contrast so I blocked everything and used Cherry Pie.

Step 12: To make the dots frame, use a remnant from this colouring page.

Dylusions Love is in the Air Valentine Card 3 Love
Card 3, Love

Dylusions Love is in the Air Valentine Cards Step 13
Step 13: Bear with me the craziness of using jolly to create the word love, I sneaked the e from Merry from the previous card and flipped jolly to use the L O and twist the J into a V. To unite them I mimicked the black of the e to fill the other letters

Dylusions Love is in the Air Valentine Cards Step 14

Step 14: I gave the love bird a heart to carry from one of the background papers and painted it with Cherry Pie.

Dylusions Love is in the Air Valentine Cards Step 15

Step 15: To finish the petals I used the Quilt It Stencil with a gel pen.
