Hello artsy friends! Sometimes I like to create a page in my journal just for fun’s sake and the adorable new stamp sets from Dylusions make it easy! Come along with me to build a colorful page that’s sure to make you smile.
Step 1: Open your Large Ledger Journal to a lined page and turn the book sideways. Write out some thoughts or lyrics to a favorite song using the Dylusions Black Marble Paint Pen. Use the varying widths of the lines to experiment with different handwriting styles!
Step 2: Paint the page with Dylusions Flip Cap Paint in Peony Blush and Rose Quartz. You don’t have to cover the entire page and don’t worry about blending the colors completely.
Step 3: With the Mini Ink Blending Tool, apply Dylusions Flip Cap Paint in Cranberry Juice though the small Crazy Paving stencil.
Step 4: Using the Square Stamp Block as a guide, paint a curvy border around your page with Dylusions Flip Cap Paint in Black Marble. Dip the end of your paintbrush in Dylusions Flip Cap Paint in Rose Quartz and paint dots all along the edge of your border.
Step 5: From the Dylusions Stampers Anonymous Cling Mount Stamp Set - No Place Like Gnome, stamp the swirly vines and gnomes onto a blank piece of journal paper with Dylusions Archival Ink in Black Marble. Make a few of the swirly vines so you have plenty.
Step 6: Color your stamped images using Dylusions Ink Spray in Balmy Night, London Blue, Blue Lagoon, Cut grass, and Island Parrot. Paint the gnomes’ noses with Rose Quartz and add Peony Blush to the heart details on the girl gnome.
Step 7: Fussy-cut all of your painted images.
Step 8: Arrange the swirly vines to hang down from the top of the page and the gnomes at the bottom. Glue everything down when you are happy with the placement. Trim away any edges of the vines that may stick out from the page.
Step 9: With the Dylusions Paint Pens in Black Marble and White Linen write out “Rollin’ with my Gnomies” or any fun phrase you’d like! Just like that, your page is complete!
