In this tutorial, Joy Baldwin demonstrates how to use the Perfect Pearls misting technique to make a pretty, shimmery background for this cheerful spring card.Â
Â
InstructionsÂ
Hi crafty friends, for today’s project I used the Perfect Pearls Misting technique for the background. It gives it such a pretty, shimmery look.Â
Â
Step 1: Lay the Backsplash stencil on a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than an A2 size. Add one brush load of Perfect Pearls Iris to the Mini Mister, add water ¾ of the way up. Shake it well and spray on the cardstock and stencil. Leave the stencil in place and repeat using Blue Hydrangea Perfect Pearls. Still leaving the stencil in place, grab a little Perfect Pearls with your fingers and sprinkle on the background. Use the colors above along with Sunflower Sparkle. Remove the stencil and set aside to dry or dry with a heat tool.Â
Â
Step 2:Â Stamp a partial image of the Prom Dress stamp set with Archival Ink Jet Black.
Â
Step 3: Using set 2 of the Distress Pencils, color the flowers and leaves with Kitsch Flamingo, Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio. Add a little bit of Seedless Preserves to the flower. Â
Â
Step 4:Â Stamp the sentiments from the Bestest Friends stamp set with Piggyback Ink and Rosy Cheeks Ink, and then trim them out. Add Letter It adhesive foam behind the sentiments and adhere them to the card panel.Â
Â
Step 5:Â Take another piece of white cardstock A2 size and ink up the outer edges with Piggyback ink. This will be a mat for the misted card panel.Â
Â
Step 6:Â Add the card panel to the inked panel and adhere that to an A2 card base.Â
