Instructions

Hello crafty friends! Today I want to share with you a card I made using the new Woodland Wildlife stamp and dies and the Whimsical Woods cling stamp. I was inspired by the art of the Winnie the Pooh books that show a very whimsical and soft color palette to create today’s card. I hope today’s tutorial gives you inspiration to do something fun and creative today!

Step 1: Begin by creating an A2 card base out of Stark White card stock by trimming an 8½” x 11” piece of cardstock at 5 ½” and then scoring it at 4 ¼”. Next, trim a front panel piece measuring about 4” x 5 1/4”.

Step 2: On the front panel piece, ink the acrylic block with Breakup Blue ink. Next, use the distress sprayer bottle to spray water (from a distance) on the acrylic block. Then, press the acrylic block onto the front panel piece and let it dry.

Step 3: Ink the Whimsical Woods cling stamp with Vintage Photo Archival Ink. Next, place front panel piece on the cling stamp and use the brayer to roll and apply pressure to get image stamped on the front panel piece.

Step 4: Using brushes, color the mushrooms using Sidewalk Chalk and Cookie Dough inks. For the grass and plants, use Viper ink to color the images.

Step 5: On a separate piece of card stock, stamp the wolf, deer, and a couple of birds using Ground Expresso and Balmy Night Archival Inks.

Step 6: Using a brush, color the deer with Grrr! and Weeping Willow inks. For the wolf, use Woof! and Shady inks and for the birds use Tripple Berry, Sidewalk Chalk, and Guppy inks.

Step 7: Use the coordinating dies to die cut the images. Die cut extras and glue them together for dimension.

Step 8: Glue the die cut images on the front panel piece. Next, glue front panel piece onto the card base.

Step 9: On a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Black Heavystock, heat emboss sentiments from the Woodland Wildlife stamp set using white embossing powder. Then, trim sentiments to fit on the front panel piece.

Step 10: Add foam adhesive to the back of the sentiments.

Step 11:  Add Stardust Stickles to the background and Glossy Accents on the mushrooms and the birds.

Step 12: Pair the card with a complimentary envelope. Now it’s ready to be sent to a loved one!
