Instructions

Hello crafty friends! I hope all of you are having a lovely day. Today I’m excited to share a Christmas card I made using supplies from Simon Hurley’s latest release. I hope you enjoy this tutorial as much as I loved making this card!

Simon Hurley Merry Christmas Card Step 1

Step 1: Create an A2 card base out of Stark White Cardstock. Cut the 8½ x 11 cardstock down to 4¼ x 11. Then score at 5½. Cut another piece measuring 4 x 5¼ to be your front panel.

Step 2: On the front panel piece, stamp the Magic Stripes background stamp using the Emboss It clear ink pad and heat emboss with Pink Tinsel embossing powder.

Step 3: Once the front panel has been heat-embossed, ink the background with a Blending Tool and the Rosy Cheeks and Piggyback ink pads.

Step 5: On a separate piece of Stark White Cardstock, use the Mod Christmas stencil to ink the Christmas trees with Overzealous, Later Gator, and Fake Plant ink pads.

Step 6: Use the other side of the Mod Christmas stencil to add more texture to each tree with Gold Rush, Prom Queen, and Sike! Lunar Paste.

Step 7: This could have been done earlier in Step 5 or Step 6, but I forgot – Sorry! Ink the trunks for each tree then trim them out with a craft knife.
