Hello crafty friends! Today I have a fun tutorial to share with you using Astro Pastes and the Sketched Snowman stamps and dies. I hope today’s tutorial gives you inspiration to do something fun and creative today!
Step 1: Begin by creating an A2 card base out of Stark White card stock by trimming an 8½” x 11” piece of cardstock at 5 ½” and then scoring it at 4 ¼”. Next, trim three front panel measuring about 4” x 5 1/4”.
Step 2: On the first front panel piece, apply Prom Queen Astro Paste using the paste tool set. On the second front panel piece apply Tropical Tango Astro Paste. Once these front panel pieces have dried, cut strips out of them.
Step 3: On the third front panel piece, apply Multi medium Matte and glue the strips by alternating the colors: one pink, one green and so on.
Step 4: Use scissors to trim off the excess.
Step 5: On a separate piece of card stock, stamp one of the snowmen from the Sketched Snowmen stamp set with Jet Black archival ink. Then, heat emboss with clear embossing powder.
Step 6: Using a brush, color the snowman using Clear Skies and Sidewalk Chalk on the body of the snowman. Then, use Guppy to color the nose and Shady ink to color the buttons. Finally, use Rosy Cheeks to color the hat and the scarf.
Step 7: Use the coordinating dies to die cut the snowman. Die cut extras and glue them together for dimension.
Step 8: Use a circle nested die to die cut a circle. Next, ink blend the die cut with Piggyback and Rosy Cheeks inks.
Step 9: Place the circle die cut in the Sparkling Snow 3D embossing folder and run it through a die cut machine.
Step 10: Rub the Glacier White pigment ink on the embossed circle die cut to enhance the embossed areas.
Step 11: Use Multi medium Matte to glue stripped front panel piece on the card base. Next, the circle die cut and finally the snowman on the circle die cut.
Step 12: On a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Black Heavystock heat emboss the “Let It Snow” sentiment from the Sketched Snowman stamp set with white embossing powder. Then, trim the sentiment.
Step 13: Add foam adhesive to the sentiment and tape it to the card.
Step 14: Add Stardust Stickles around the snowman and Glossy Accents on the nose and buttons of the snowman.
Step 15: Pair the card with a complimentary envelope. Now it’s ready to be sent to a loved one this holiday season!
