Happy November! Hello there crafty friends. It’s Cheiron Brandon here and today I have a fun and easy project for you using four colors of Distress (ink and oxides) and one stamp set showing off the newest color in the Distress line, Lumberjack Plaid. This red goes with just about everything! We will be making a bunch of small #5 Distress Tags that can be used for gift tags, or turned into quick and easy cards.
First you will want to gather your supplies: #5 Distress Tags, Distress Inks: Lumberjack Plaid, Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina and Distress Oxides: Lumberjack Plaid, Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina, a Distress Sprayer and the Darling Christmas Stamp Set (CMS 457). You will also need Distress Archival Ink in Black Soot for the sentiments. I could have spent an entire afternoon making these fun tags.
Step 1: Press your Distress Inks onto a non-stick craft mat and spray with water.
Step 2: Pick up the ink by pressing your tag down into it. Dry with a heat tool.
Step 3: Add additional colors of ink. I stuck with one main color for each of my tags and added accents. Dry with heat tool.
Step 4: Stamp focal images over the inked tags using Distress Oxides.
Step 5: Repeat the stamping in other colors to add images to the background. Stamp sentiment in Black Soot Distress Archival Ink.
Step 6: Ink edges of tags with the Black Soot Distress Archival Ink and a foam blending tool.
Step 7: Add ribbon or twine to the tags to complete them.
