Cheering for You Blendable Dye Ink Card by Laura Volpes

Wendy Vecchi Blendable Dye Inks are great for stamps and blending backgrounds, but they are also great for coloring images as well! Follow along with Laura Volpes as she shows how you can use the pretty Wendy Vecchi color palette to brighten up stamped flowers to create a card to spread some cheer.

Step 1: Stamp images from the Wendy Vecchi Bravo Stamp, Die & Stencil Set with Jet Black Archival Ink on Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock. Align the coordinating stencil with the stamped image and blend Wendy Vecchi Dye inks to add color. Use Pink Peony for the larger flower...

Step 2: ...and Sunflower for the two smaller ones. Blend with Distress Blending Brushes for a softer look and keep the flower centers darker for added dimension.. Use the Wendy Vecchi MAKE ART Stay-tion to hold your stencil in place while blending.

Step 3: Add interest to the images with some little droplets in coordinating colors, using Wendy Vecchi Dye Inks. Press the ink pads on a sleek surface, activate them with water, and create the droplets with a small paintbrush. Protect your cardstock by masking it with the stencil in the Wendy Vecchi Bravo Stamp, Die & Stencil Set.

Use Pink Peony and Violet on the larger flower, and Tiger Lily and Sunflower on the smaller ones.

Step 4: Trim one of the Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Panels to 5x3.75" and stamp the sentiment with Archival Jet Black Ink. Mount the panel on a Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock Grey Panel, using foam tape for added dimension.

Step 5: Die cut the flowers with the coordinating dies and glue them above the sentiment. Add some finishing touches with Wendy Vecchi Liquid Pearls in the color Cornflower Blue. Use the tools in the Wendy Vecchi Perfect Stylus Set to get perfectly sized and shaped dots.
