Enhance Your Birthday Cards with Stickles by Kimberly Boliver

Join Kimberly Boliver in her latest tutorial to create an adorable, quick, and easy birthday card that shines. Perfect for adding that special sparkle to your celebrations!

Instructions

I love how Stickles can add shine to this fairly quick and easy card. Using water to paint the Stickles on the balloon and birds, gives it a little sparkle without covering up the whole image. Adding Stickles dots to the butterflies gives sparkle without having to color them in!

Step 6: Stamp and die cut the chicks, 5 butterflies, the bunny holding the balloon and Happy Birthday from the Simon Hurley create. Easter Bunnies Stamp set and matching dies. Trim off as much of the bunny leaving just the balloon and string. A little bit of the bunny hand will be on it but that will get covered by the chick’s head when it is assembled.

Step 7: Smoosh Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and Candied Apple Distress Ink on a Ranger Non Stick Craft Sheet. Watercolor the birds with Peacock Feathers and the balloon with Candied Apple and let it dry.

Step 8: Squeeze a small amount of Mountain Lake and Wine Cellar Stickles on the craft sheet. Using a wet paintbrush, pick up some of the Mountain Lake Stickles and paint the birds. Clean the brush thoroughly and paint the balloon with the Wine Cellar Stickles. Add dots of Graphite Stickles to the butterfly wings. Let everything dry completely.

Step 9: Assemble the card using Wendy Vecchi Perfect Card Adhesive. Add Tim Holtz Distress Black Heavystock behind the Happy Birthday sentiment to have it stand out and pop it up on Letter It White Foam Roll Tape.
