Jess Francisco shares how to create a winter inspired friendship card using Simon Hurley create products.

Instructions

Simon Hurley create. I'm Here for You card Step 1

Step 1: Start by stamping the bear image from the Simon Hurley create. Bestest Friends Stamp set on to a piece of Stark White Cardstock. You can choose either image – for this card, I used the standing bear image. Color in the stamped image with whichever color medium you prefer. For this card, I used alcohol markers.

Step 2: Next, use the Mini Ink Blending Tool and Foam to apply Clear Skies ink to the bottom of the card panel. This will make it look like the bear is standing on snow!

Step 3: Once the ground has been added, use the Simon Hurley create. Looks Like Rain Stencil to apply very light amounts of Woof Ink to the upper portion of your card panel (above the ground). Then, switch over to Clear Skies ink and apply that sparingly. This will give a two-toned effect to the rain drops and make them look more like a wintery mix.

Step 4: Dab Letter It Embossing Ink over the ink blended ground area of the card panel. Apply the ink sparingly if you don’t want the entire blended area covered. The more ink you apply, the more powder will stick to your panel in the next step.

Step 5: Use Mixed Media Powder in Bone to create a snowy effect on the ground. Pour the powder directly on top of the Embossing Ink applied in Step 4. Tap off any excess powder and then melt the powder with a heat tool. It helps to pour the powder while holding your card over a scrap piece of paper or coffee filter for easier clean up – then you can return the excess powder to the container and use it next time!

Step 5: Once the powder is melted, stamp out the sentiments ‘I’m here for you’ and ‘thanks for being the bestest friend ever’ in Jet Black Archival Ink on the top portion of the card. Mount the card panel to a card base made from Simon’s Stark White cardstock. You’re finished!
