Letter It™ Baby Shower Cards by Joy Baldwin

Follow along as Joy Baldwin shows you how to make these quick and colorful Baby Shower Cards using Letter It™ and Tim Holtz Distress® products.

Instructions 

 

Letter It Baby Shower Cards Step 1

Step 1: Use Distress Oxide Inks to make some blended backgrounds. For the blue combo use Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers and the pink combo is Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo, and  Spun Sugar Oxide Pads. Use the Ink Blending Tool with Foam and blend from darkest to lightest starting at the top making sure to get a good blend between colors. Then lightly spraye the backgrounds with water using the Distress Sprayer.

Step 2:  Lightly spritz the Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Spray onto the pink background and the Peacock Feathers onto the blue background.

Step 3: Stamp the umbrella with Jet Black Ink and the sentiments with Peacock Feathers and Spun Sugar using the Letter It Shower Stamp Set. 

 

 

Letter It Baby Shower Cards Step 4

Step 4:  Use a Water Brush Pen to paint the umbrellas with the Distress Oxide Inks. Smush the ink pad onto the Non-Stick Craft Sheet, then spray a little bit of water and use that to paint. Stamp the raindrops from the Shower Stamp Set with Embossing Ink and used Pink Peony and Navy Embossing Powders. Use a Heat It Tool to melt the embossing powder.

Step 5: Trim down the umbrella pieces and add black cardstock for a mat. Adhere that to the trimmed down, inked backgrounds with Adhesive Foam for dimension. Add Diamond Stickles to the umbrellas for embellishment.
