Hello crafty friends! Have you seen Simon Hurley’s new release? I hope you have! It’s another great one! His new release is all about Christmas/Winter season. I know it’s early for Christmas projects but as makers, it's never too early to start making cards for a holiday. Today’s card features the new Sketched Snowmen stamp and die set. I had a lot of fun making today’s card, I hope it gives you inspiration to do something fun and creative today!

Step 1: Begin by creating an A2 card base out of Stark White card stock by trimming an 8½” x 11” piece of cardstock at 5 ½” and then scoring it at 4 ¼”. Next, trim two front panels: one measuring 4” 1/8 x 5” 3/8 and the other measuring 4” x 5 1/4” out of Stark White cardstock.

Step 2: On the front panel piece measuring 4” 1/8 x 5” 3/8, ink only around the edges with Game Over ink.

Step 3: On the front panel piece measuring 4” x 5 1/4”, stamp the snowflakes from the Sketched Snowmen stamp set with the Emboss It ink pad. Then, heat emboss with white embossing powder.

Step 4: Next, ink the background from step 3 with Cookie Dough ink. Then, use Grrr! and Weeping Willow inks to ink blend around the edges.

Step 5: Use the Distress Sprayer to spritz some water on the background to make it look like snow.

Step 6: On a separate piece of card stock, stamp two snowmen images with Ground Expresso Archival Ink. Then, heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

Step 7: Use the blending tool to ink blend both snowmen with Cookie Dough ink. Next, use one of the Ranger Artist brushes to color in the images. Use Grrr! to add shadows to the snowmen, Guppy ink to color the noses, Shady ink to color the buttons, Game Over to color one of the snowmen’s hat and scarf, and use Viper to color the other snowmen’s hat and scarf.

Step 8: Die cut the images using the coordinating dies. Die cut extras then glue them together for dimension.

Step 9: Add some small hills by using an embossing pen then, heat emboss with white embossing ink.

Step 10: Glue the snowflakes’ front panel piece onto the other inked front panel piece. Then, glue the front panel on the card base.

Step 11: On a separate piece of card stock, heat emboss one of the sentiments from the Sketched Snowmen set with white embossing powder. Next, ink blend the sentiment with Game Over ink and trim it to fit on the card.

Step 12: Glue the snowmen on the background and use foam adhesive to tape the sentiment. Then, add Glossy Accents on the nose and buttons of the snowmen. Add Stardust Stickles on the background for extra shine.

Step 13: Next, pair the card with a complimentary envelope. Now it’s ready to be sent to a loved one this Christmas season!
