Instructions
Hello crafty friends! I hope all of you had a wonderful Holiday Season and a Happy New Year. Today, I’m very excited to share with you a simple card I made using stamps and stencils from Simon Hurley’s latest release. I hope this tutorial gives you some inspiration to do something fun and creative!
Step 1: Create an A2 card base out of Stark White Cardstock. Cut the 8½ x 11 cardstock down to 4¼ x 11. Then score at 5½. Cut another piece measuring 4 x 5¼ to be your front panel.
Step 2: Use the 5x6 stamping block to stamp the Flowering Mandala image on the front panel. Then heat emboss it with Liquid Platinum embossing powder.
Step 3: After the stamped image is heat embossed, use one of the layers that has the octagon opening from the Flowering Mandala stencil to only color the middle with the Prom Queen ink pad.
Step 4: Next, use another layer from the Flowering Mandala stencil that has the “flower” opening and use the octagon layer to cover what was inked in step 3. Then use Clear Skies ink to color the “flower” opening.
Step 5: Now use one of the larger stencils from the Flowering Mandala stencil set to ink the last piece using the Shooting Star ink.
Step 6: Once the Flowering Mandala is colored, glue the front panel to the card base with Wendy Vecchi Make Art Perfect Card Adhesive.
Step 7: Heat emboss one of the sentiments from the Succulents Stamp Set on Tim Holtz Distress Black Heavystock using White Super Fine Detail embossing powder.
Step 8: Add foam adhesive to the back of the sentiment and tape it to the center of the Flowering Mandala.
Step 9: To add more color and embellishment, use Key Lime, Sunflower, and Dazzle liquid pearls on different areas of the Flowering Mandala.
Step 10: Your card is done! Just pair it with a matching envelope and it is ready to be sent to a loved one to remind them how much they inspire you!
