Specialty Stamping Paper

By Wendy Vecchi

Instructions

  1. Mist the cut down paper with water and swipe Scattered Straw and Wild Honey Distress Stains over the surface. It’s not necessary to cover the entire paper.
  2. Partially dry with the Heat it Tool to create layers of color, then blot off the excess fluid and dry completely.
  3. Fill in any uninked areas with Scattered Straw Distress Ink, using the Ink Blending Tool and add Rusty Hinge Distress Ink to the edges to distress and dry.
  4. Randomly stencil over the paper, using Broken China Ink on the Blending Tool and Dylusions small Letter Jumble Stencil, then dry.
  5. Ink the background stamp with French Ultramarine Archival Ink and randomly stamp over the paper and dry.
  6. Add a bit of Brushed Corduroy Stain to one well of the ink palette and use the Detail Water Brush to pick up the stain, then tap the brush on your finger to add tiny dots of stain to the background, then dry. TIP: by using the ink palette, no stain is wasted! Just close the lid and it’s ready for your next inky session. If it dries out, remember Distress Ink is activated by water.
  7. Use Jet Black Archival to stamp the saying and dry.
  8. Stamp the spider with Black Soot Distress Ink and heat emboss, using clear embossing powder.
  9. Use the pen to draw two stems and two sets of leaves and dry.
  10. Use the Peeled Paint Marker to color the leaves dry.
  11. Use the pen to doodle around the paper as shown and dry.
  12. Use Glue N’ Seal to glue the second piece of paper to the Clearly For Art and dry.
  13. Use Jet Black to stamp the flower two times, dry, then cut out.
  14. Use the Tumbled Glass Marker to color one flower and the Broken China Marker to color the second and dry…you will color on the paper side.
  15. Heat the flowers on the CFA side to soften the material and shape while still warm.
  16. Use small grungeboard scraps to add dimension under the flowers.
  17. Glue the flowers over the stems, with Matte Multi-Medium.
  18. Add a black pearl to accent the flower centers.
