I’m Jess Francisco from Love, Jess or @lovejessco. I live in Chesapeake with my husband and our sons who are 7 and 4 years old. They keep me busy, so most of my crafting is done while they’re in bed.
I have been creating for as long as I can remember, but I started my card making journey in 2015. I have learned so many techniques and added so many new products to my growing list of favorites. Now that I have a few years under my belt, I’m excited to share what I’ve learned with the crafting community! You can find me on social media as @lovejessco or Love, Jess.
Instructions
Step 1: Apply Ranger Jet Black Archival ink directly to the lowest portion of the Simon Hurley Funky Chevron Background Stamp. Stamp on the bottom of a piece of white cardstock measuring 4” x 5.25”.
Step 2: Apply Simon Hurley Dye Ink 'Woof!' to the second section of the Funky Chevron stamp set. Stamp just above the portion stamped in step 1.
Step 3: For the third section, apply Simon Hurley 'Woof!' ink, but before stamping, spritz the stamp with a little water using the Distress Sprayer. Then stamp just above the portion stamped in step 2. This will give a slightly distressed effect for the top section.
Step 4: Using Jet Black Archival ink, stamp your favorite chicken image from the 'Spring Chicken' stamp set on white cardstock.
Step 5: Press the 'Grrr!' ink pad directly onto a craft sheet or acrylic block. Spritz the ink with water, then use a paint brush to color in the chicken image.
Step 6: Treat a piece of black cardstock with anti-static powder. Stamp the 'thanks for being soo eggs-traordinary' sentiment from Spring Chicken in watermark embossing ink. Pour superfine detail white embossing powder on top of the watermark ink and tap off the excess. Use your heat tool to melt the embossing powder. Trim the sentiment strip to fit your background.
Step 7: Attach the stamped background to a white A2 sized card base using your favorite adhesive. Cut out the chicken image using a sharp pair of scissors and add foam tape to the back of the chicken.
Step 8: Attach a piece of foam tape to the back of the sentiment strip. Attach the sentiment and chicken to the card and you're done!
